truly delighted with my herbals infusion.. The Cusco
people are very friendly and lovely I enjoy taken some
beautiful shoots. If you enjoy with the Incas ruins
and the fascination of cusco certainly you will enjoy
also a night with a lot of pubs and night clubs, but

| The
beauty of herbal teas There is a herbal
drink to suit almost every mood, emotion and physical
need for all times of the day: taking forty winks,
enjoying a good sleep, calming, refreshing, invigorating
and stimulating. All these attributes of herbal
teas are well known by most other European countries,
where the drinking of herbal teas in some families
is part of an old tradition. For instance, in
Austria (where, incidentally, the coffee house
is supreme), children tend to be brought up on
herb teas, not being given tea or coffee until
they become young adults. The same could be said
of Belgium, France and Switzerland. In general,
the drinking of herbal teas is popular while herbalist
shops survive and some knowledge of herbs is kept
alive in some families.
Drinking a Mate Coca cup
Another great advantage of herbal teas is that
they can be drunk singly or blended carefully
with six or ten ingredients to produce the required
effect. Just as many different types of tea-leaf
go to make one brand label, so many varieties
of chamomile and its essential oil can make a
very special chamomile tea. In addition, instead
of leaving the mixing and blending to established
firms and factories to make the flavour choices
for our tea and coffee, herb teas can be mixed
and blended at home to suit one’s own purposes.
Certainly this is what early man did, although
early man had many more instincts intact and a
natural knowledge of the flora around him because
he was continually in close harmony with himself
and his surroundings, as his ancestors had been.
So nowadays much more caution and learning application
must be applied. In the past, at least one member
of the family was familiar with the uses of herbs
and this would be an ideal situation to resurrect.
The American influence
Most of the revival of interest in health, herbal
teas and all things natural came from America
and this is partly because it never really died
from when the Chinese and Europeans started their
transplant to the New World.
Their immediate need for self-sufficiency in
all matters pushed them to sample the rich and
new flora, which surrounded them. Also, settlers
included men and women who had been born during
the reign of Elizabeth I and their knowledge of
herbs with foods and beverages was keenly used.
Added to all this was the vast storehouse of infinite
knowledge that the American Indians had accumulated,
whose information today still makes up possibly
half of European herbal medicine |

to prepare Mate de Coca is to boil the

| Who
Invent it? The tea bag
was invented in 1908—by John Sullivan—a
tea merchant, who decided to pass out
his full leaf teas in a hand sewn sack
as samples to potential customers...the
idea took off-and here was born one of
the most useful inventions in the world
of infusion lovers. |

| I say An
Invitation for One to Machu Picchu
While the respite that drinking a perfect
cup is, I believe, a form of critically
important meditation during my day, sharing
“mate de coca” is the ultimate
form of hospitality. Instead of having
a glass of wine with friends, offer them
“ An invitation for One to Machu
Picchu the new seven wonder” give
to them a cup of the herbal tea , prepared
carefully, dedicated to serving tea only
to special guests, so that even the accoutrements
signal that the teas, and the guests,
are important. Lisa
Martell, Holland. |
| For my morning tea,
a simple gold filter plopped into a mug
does the trick. I put in a heaping teaspoon
of my favorite herbal tea or mate de coca,
let it brew for a few minutes, pull out
the filter and set it on a small plate,
and I'm ready to drink. Another great
tea gadget is Yacon tea Tea. You can make
enough tea for two and it has the added
advantage of clear plastic to appreciate
the color of the brew. Clean-up is a snap.Pat

| You don´t need
to go outside home and try something exotic
to you. If you always drink herbals black
blends, try a Mate de Coca from the Free
pollution Andean Highlands of Peru ; better
yet compare the spring first flush with
the autumnal of the fall. If you adore
herbal teas, consider the purity of such
Andean classics as jmate de coca, coca
& cats calw, or maybe coca mint. If
you love exotic teas, consider the Coca
Exotic a tru mix of exotic herbs. Peru´s
if producing teas for export including
the standard English teas. Taste! I'm
going to drink a mate de coca pouching
right now, or should I brew the Yacon
tea? Thank Peru.. Phil

Coca
users are so old than...
Documents have been recovered dating back
( 2,200 BC to 1,200 BC) Moche Culture early
as Ancient and Pre Inca culture that discuss
the ceremonial or religious uses of the coca
to thank God Sun for a good crop, all the uses
of coca leaves are related to the agriculture,
and this days Andean people are still chewing
coca leaves to get the vitamins and minerals
that they need as well as to suppress the fatigue
symptoms. but coca rituals and traditions are
still alive as well as Shamanic sessions. ..4sigue

Peru´s
Regions
Peru is made up of three vast regions: the coast,
the Andes or highlands, and the Amazon forest
or lowlands. These regions embrace an amazing
diversity of ecosystems defined by factors such
as altitude, latitude and sunlight. Intelligent
use of this diversity allowed ancient Peruvians
to reach high levels of civilization, supported
by complex social, economic and political developments..4sigue

"To
be or Not to Be",
"Coca Teas" or "Mate de coca"
We think that Coca teas it is not an appropriate
way to name a herbals infusion or Mate de Coca
since it does not contain tea leaves, in this
case things go in the same way that in the past
with the Frigidare brand and the kind of equipment
used to cool or to keep refrigerated foods. More
appropriated will be herbal infusion or "Mate
de Coca". |
